Altar artist fabric masks are here!

Not only will you look stunning while helping slow the spread of Coronavirus, but your purchase supports New Orleans artists and social justice.
Profits from mask sales are split 50/50 between the artist featured on the mask and a social justice organization of their choice.

"Sattelite” mask featuring artwork by Peter Hoffman will provide donations to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

These masks are made from two layers of tight knit 100% cotton with an opening for a removable filter. Your order comes with one filter pre-inserted into the mask. There is a bendable nose bridge, which helps the mask stay in place and fit your face. You can choose elastic or adjustable straps.

At $20, the artist and their organization each get $5. Want to donate more? We offer a sliding scale option for those who would like to provide further support. Anything on top of the $20 base fee will be split between the artist, their chosen organization, and Altar.

Altar believes in incorporating feminist alchemy into all of our practices. That means tapping into our personal powers to create a more enchanting world for everyone. It is essential that this includes practices that support racial and social justice. In addition to donating a portion of mask sales, founder Ryn Wilson has personally donated to a number of organizations. Please consider supporting some of the same groups who are fighting hard for a more equitable society...Black Lives Matter, Women With a Vision, Operation Restoration, Birthmark Doulas, and Sister Hearts Thrift Store.
